Welcome to Mud-Honey Vegan Bakery! I am a one-woman 100% plant-based cottage bakery located in Springfield, IL.

  I am a former chef turned vegan baker. Layer cakes are my specialty, and I've got some great crumb cakes in seasonal flavors! More offerings to come! And by "vegan bakery," I don't mean I have some "vegan options;" I do not work with animal-derived products, ever - that means that zero pennies you spend on my products will ever be used in return for items made from animal exploitation! 

In a Nutshell:

  • -free from: eggs/dairy; honey; gelatin; palm oil; artificial flavors

  • -made with quality ingredients, mostly organic, including organic stone-ground Illinois-sourced flour!

  • - classic flavors with occasional curve-balls

  • -natural, intuitive presentation

  • -Pick-Up Only; everything made to order, prepared with joy, fun, and a stellar soundtrack (it matters) ;-)

  • -I want to make products that don't "taste vegan," but just tastes great!

Catch me this summer at the Old Capital Farmer’s Market in Springfield (near 4th and Adams, from 8am-12:30pm)! I've got some tasty things in store: cookies, brownies, and plenty of cupcakes available in singles and 4-packs, so it will be a really great opportunity to try different things out, if you've been on the fence until now about committing to a whole dozen in any one flavor (relatable).
